It is essential that all visitors comply with the basic RULES AND ETIQUETTE of the game. All golfers must wear golf shoes and appropriate clothing on the course consistent with traditional golf dress code.

Directions to Turton Golf Club

From the North
M6 to Junction 29 to pick up the M65.  Exit at Junction 4 onto the A666 passing through Darwen heading towards Bolton and driving over the moors into Egerton Village. Approximately 1 mile further along, turn left at the War Memorial to head towards Bromley Cross and the Last Drop Village on the B6472. At the next traffic lights turn left into Hospital Road and proceed up the hill passing the Mercure Bolton Last Drop Village Hotel and Spa (left). Upon reaching the top of the hill, turn 90 deg left and head up Wood End Lane.  Turton Golf Club is to be found at the end of the lane.

From the South
From Birmingham continue on M6 to Junction 21a for M62 Manchester. Proceed on M62 following signs for M60 (Manchester Ring Road). Exit the M60 at Junction 15 onto M61 following the signs for Bolton/Preston. Once on the M61 take the A666 towards Bolton/Blackburn. Continue to the end of the dual carriageway at the traffic lights, there you will notice a Ford dealership (left) and a PC World (right) continue ahead on the main stretch of the road and at the next set of lights there is a Citroen dealership and a Mercedes dealership (right), carry on for approximately one mile and you will approach a major set of lights where there is an ASDA (left). Carry straight on there for half a mile and you will pass a BP garage (left). Approximately 1 mile further along, turn right at the war memorial to head towards Bromley Cross and the Last Drop Village on the B6472. At the next traffic lights turn left into Hospital Road and proceed up the hill passing the Mercure Bolton Last Drop Village Hotel and Spa on your left. Upon reaching the top of the hill, turn 90 deg left and head up Wood End Lane.  Turton Golf Club is to be found at the end of the lane.

The postal code for your Sat Nav is BL7 9QD but invariably this will direct you down Windy Harbour Lane (off Chapeltown Road) which is an unadopted and unmade road.  We recommend that you avoid Windy Harbour Lane and follow the route that takes you up Hospital Road.
